Does anybody have information on a Scrimshander from Mich. who used to re-handle smaller stacked leather handled Randall's with Sperm Whale teeth? This would be going back to the 70's and 80's.

I believe that he was working around the same area as Bo Randall's summer home in Walloon Lake, Traverse City, Harbor Springs or Petoskey....He used to sell them at a high end gift shop in this same area.

Any help would be appreciated!

Sweet knife!! I sold and traded the last two whales teeth I had to James at Blade last year. 1 loose 1 on a knife.

Very nice Bill. I'll bet that handle is just the right shape for your hand.

Hey Bill, I wasn't into knives back then but I wonder if Jim Behring might know who you are referring to. Just a thought. Good luck.

Bill,

Would you recognize the name if you saw it? The only Michigan scrimshanders listed in Knives '85 are:

John Alward, Allen, MI
Jean Curtis, Lansing, MI
Joe Rundell, Clio, MI

I don't want to go off topic on you guys but this was a custom by Lloyd Pendleton that I owned years ago. I hated to sell it but at the time,(you know). Besides the awesome tooth, check out the fantail guard and amber spacer.

That's a real beauty! Whenever I see amber spacers, D'Holder comes to mind.

Bill,

Great looking knife; the handle looks like it would melt into your hand.
