As a follow up, and getting back to the original question; since my last post I've spoken with two advanced collectors with over 50 years combined RMK collecting between them...

Collector A 'has' a Model #14 heavy, and stated that while roughly 100 blades were made as you alluded to, he thinks that the number shipped was actually closer to 35. As to value, he 'guesstimated' maybe $1000, but doesn't know, as he has never sold a Randall knife once purchased...

Collector B collects Model #14's almost exclusively, and doesn't own a Model #14 'heavy'...when I asked about the $1000 price given, he simply said (paraphrased) "No, I wouldn't pay that much..."

I stand by my original comment that I don't have a clue as to value, and as you can see from the posts above, others have their own idea of what it's worth...FWIW, if it went to eBay, however, my top bid would likely be in the high six-hundred dollar range...

A cool knife certainly, and fairly rare too. Good luck
