I've been collecting Randalls since the early 90s and have the first one I ever bought. (not all I ever bought). and I know it is one of the few things I have that has held its value or appreciated. I have some that I know have appreciated a good bit (Randall Recon anybody?) and some that have pretty much just held their own. I collect them because I think they will always have some value and I collect them because it is a hobby that I enjoy. I actually think that overall they've been pretty good investments because the prices on them keep increasing, so as the Cap stated above "put a new Randall in a box under the bed and the purchase price of said Randall in another box and see which one appreciates over time." (I'm talking years here, not months)One could spend a whole lot more collecting certain things and have them become nearly worthless, but Randall knives ain't one of them.
