I would appreciate any information you can give me about this knife.
Has turned wood grip, it screws into a heavy brass cylindrical scabbard, no markings on scabbard, no belt on scabbard.
It is exactly like the knife at the bottom of photo on page
244 of Michael Silvey's book: Knives of the United States Military World War II; it is also about in that same condition,
with saw teeth on one edge.
On one side of ricasso, it says: KA-BAR REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.,
On the reverse, it says: UNION CUTLERY CO. OLEAN, N.Y.
At this time I am unable to post a photo of it.
Mr Levine, and Ka-Bar knife Co. each need photos, so they can't help me.
I only want to know exactly what years this knife was made.
Also, are there any books out there on this type of diving knife ?
Any websites with information on them ?
I bought this knife off Ebay about Oct. 2013
Can anyone help me ?

Thank you

Yes, but mine in way better condition.
Wood grip on mine is slightly different.
Mine is in about same condition as your next post.
Any idea what years these were made ?

This is exactly like my knife.
Except marking on Ricasso has: REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
underneath KA-BAR
Condition of my knife is very close to condition of knife in your photo.
Do you have any idea what years these knives were made ?

Thank you
