I would appreciate any information you can give me about this knife.
Has turned wood grip, it screws into a heavy brass cylindrical scabbard, no markings on scabbard, no belt on scabbard.
It is exactly like the knife at the bottom of photo on page
244 of Michael Silvey's book: Knives of the United States Military World War II; it is also about in that same condition,
with saw teeth on one edge.
On one side of ricasso, it says: KA-BAR REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.,
On the reverse, it says: UNION CUTLERY CO. OLEAN, N.Y.
At this time I am unable to post a photo of it.
Mr Levine, and Ka-Bar knife Co. each need photos, so they can't help me.
I only want to know exactly what years this knife was made.
Also, are there any books out there on this type of diving knife ?
Any websites with information on them ?
I bought this knife off Ebay about Oct. 2013
Can anyone help me ?
Thank you
