Just found out long time knife maker Enedino DeLeon checked out late last month. You've seen his sub-hilts I bet. R.I.P. Señor.

Had not heard that. Bummer! I've got a few of his VN fighting knives pretty darn nice knives.

Really sad to hear. He was way too young:

Enedino Deleon, 68, passed away Thursday June 18, 2015, in Lubbock. He was born May 14, 1947, in Karnes City, Texas, to Benito and Adelina Deleon. Enedino attended Lubbock High School and Texas Tech. He served in the US Marine Corp for four years. Enedino owned and operated the Deleon Knife Co. for over 40 years. Survivors include one sister, Adelina Beiswanger; and four brothers, Benny, Oliver, Porfirio and John.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, June 23, at 11 a.m. in Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene, Texas.
