Bill Bagwell, if you are not familiar, is probably one of the most recognized Bowie knife expert knife makers alive today. I was fortunate enough to have gone to college, Louisiana Tech University, the same time as Bagwell, and knew him as a student. This was before he started on his knife making career. He rode a Harley back then. He made me a carbon blade skiner with an ossage orange handle that Rhett talked me out of in 1993. I am very sorry I let that one go. Anyway, Bill Bagwell has way more orders to be filled than he has years left on this earth, so if you want a really great Bowie knife made by Bill Bagwell, keep you eyes open for one. His Damascus blades are legendary. Here is a 2 year old youtube of his methods and be sure to watch the end for his sharpening and cutting demo.

I love the big Bowie, but this one, which sold on ebay, attracted eyes. I save pictures and ask a master to do replica on the grounds.

It looks blade like form # 20 and # 6 at the same time,
and especially #4 with #6 grind.
