That's probably true,....but lots of folks do primitive wood skills as a "hobby", and simply enjoy being outdoors in the woods practicing some of the skills that were once essential if you wanted to survive. There is a certain satisfaction in visiting our roots, in a small way. laugh

Many of these skills may come in handy also in an emergency situation,....say were you to get lost on a day hunting trip and your vehicle breaks down in a more remote area, or the weather takes a drastic and unexpected change and you weren't prepared for it..


Totally agree with that philosophy. Survival skills, are never really out of data. Paying attention to your surroundings in the city is never a bad thing either. I see a lot of people walking around in a daze that makes Perps life very easy. Awareness, be in on the Peace River or on the Subway in NYC.
