Hey thanks Gary! I appreciate the encouragement. I used the method you explained to me to wet form the sheath and I was happy with the way it turned out. I made my forming tool out of plexiglas.
One thing I have been struggling with is getting that great color of your sheaths. I used Fiebings British Tan on this one and Light Tan ends up looking somewhat orange.
I haven't used the oil dyes yet but will give that a shot. I can imagine how good quality leather would make a big difference as well. Thanks much for the tips.

True, as long as you warm it up in yer pocket first. Nose-hair puller too if you trap em between it and your thumb and give it a quick yank (the pulls...not the knife)
Here's the cradle I carved out of solid foam makes it handy when working on sheaths, I also have a T shaped one with tools stuck into it, also helps keep the table top free of clutter and easier to locate the tools when needed.
