Collecting Randall knives is fairly new to me and so it came as a surprise to discover Mr Richard B Henn's work.

This example currently on the bay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/RBH-American-Made-Smithsonian-Bowie-knife-/331145560072

It's described as a Smithsonian, but to me I would think it would be more accurately described as a Raymond Thorpe?

Mr Henn clearly likes to copy Randall knives, can anyone tell me more about this maker and how his knives compare to the genuine article.

I read somewhere that they are made offshore. Don't know if it's true, but I suspect it is, based on the low prices.

I want to order a knife at Richard.
And I think to make it closer to the summer smile

Henn is a fraud. Purchased two of his knives from him on eBay. They directly from Pakistan. Claims he can say they are made in USA because he sends US material to Pakistan. When pressed he admitted that the only thing he sends are the design (which he rips off from Randall)

Yes, I was disappointed steel (
The knife came this summer. I decided to chop in the country branch of cherry... Study showed hardness of 51 HRC.

My Randall #3-5 chop down thick branches 8-10 cm thick and not blunted.
