Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your father. There is one thing I know about him. He had great taste in knives. Those are two classic models. Personally, I wouldn't send them to the shop for reconditioning. Right now, they have the original finish and any scratches or light pitting is a part of their history with your father.
