Hello, I recently purchased several knives, a couple of CRKT's and a Kershaw, which I really like but they seem to have a consistent problem of slippery grips. The problem is so bad that they slip in my hand while opening to the point where it's almost unsafe. Anybody have any suggestions on how to remedy this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sell Them!!!!

Just Kidding, I have 3 that for whatever reason are similar... can't seem to free of something that just won't let them sit in my hand.

No solution other than comfort in numbers!!!!

Hazzmatt---

I agree with the Cajun--sell them.

I have a problem with buying something like these knives through mail order and not having had a chance to hold them, get the feel, and make sure I like how it "fits" me.

"Pretty" ain't always "good." I like a lot of knife designs from photos that I just know the blade shape won't ever be practical for anything I would do with them. And the handles may or maybe won't be of a practical dimension, contour, or material for my taste.

So I try to only buy something that I have a chance to handle at a store or a show, and then make a decision based on that.

I guess it depends on the handle material in many ways. I tend to stick to G-10 with decent etching.

Any other suggestions on what handle material provides the best grip?
