Michael

The knife is the 1st Stanaback Special. It was made with three types of micarta, black, old yellow and ??? (maroon). The idea was to show perspective buyers what the different micartas would look like on the knife. I am sure the Capt. will correct me, if I am wrong.

The knife was not for sale, just on the Capt. table.

For those of you who don't know Mitchell, here is picture of him and myself.

His knowledge of RMK and his willingness to share it with anyone, is second to none.

Thank you Joe.

Is 1945 the year the Model 5 was first made?

I had a great time at the Blade Show and met new friends and visited with old friends. It should be on every knife collectors bucket list. You don't know what you are missing, from the show itself to going out to dinner and hanging out in the pit.
Here are some photos of knives that I picked up.
Tom Clinton special limited. Every one is different and has a custom sheath. Mine has ironwood and nickel hardware and a Croc sheath. It also came with a leather case with Tom Clinton's signature.
Next up is a Behring Made etched fighter with custom ironwood that I provided. The photo speaks for itself.
Next is a Treeman small hunter, stag with compass with Studebaker spring steel.
Next is a Loveless style NY Special with ironwood, by Mitch Jenkins.
Last but not least is a Tidioute small folder with bark ivory.
Also, I have this Damascus pen by Ed Caffrey MS

Peter

I'm proud of everyone's appreciation and enthusiasm at this year's Blade show and RKCC anual meeting. More will come in the following days. I, like Mitchell, snapped no pics. This was in no small part due to a tremendous lack of "time", given the cornucopia of chores I faced! Outstanding...That's the best word I can use to describe the entire event.
Record sales (shattered sales records), attendance, business, and camaraderie was worth every ounce of energy expended! Thanks, once again, to all who came. Special thanks to the ones who "know" who they are. Cannot wait til next year!
Best, Capt. Chris
