We got home last night, after a GREAT Blade Show. My pictures are not of Buck's quality, but you will "get the picture."
I met some forumites that I had not had the pleasure of meeting before and renewed friendships with old friends. I can not say enough about the enthusiasm of the RKCC members, the wealth of knowledge that is shared and the ability to see and handle new, old and unique RMK. Where else can you talk to 4 or 5 or 6 dealers who specialize in what you want. OR bent the ear of THE shop foreman, one on one. Pretty unique, IMO and this was my 8 or 9th Blade Show.
A few pics:
I will call the first one Grrrrrrr
Second picture: Billy Poyner, Buck Buchanan and myself.
Third: Model 5-7, brass hilt. The knife is a late 1940's knife.
Fourth:Model 5-8, nsh hilt. The knife is a late 1940's to early 1950's knife.
Now the search starts for sheaths for the two Model 5's.
