Well, I did say I was going to attempt to make a "spirit of the original" type of replica of the top knife here:



The first B&T built my Mr Bo Randall for his friend Mr Steinman

Here is the result:





The blade is from 1/8th O1 toolsteel and is 3.75" inches from cross guard to tip. I could have cut the handle, which is 4.4" and gotten closer to the original look - as per this pic where I cut the handle off:


But decided against it - first of all, it makes the knife less comfortable and secondly, it does not look out of proportion as is, so why fix what ain't broke?

A few more. Still need to make a sheath for it....






And Ron (Bo-Blade) was spot on - the 1/8th stock makes it a very nice B&T that would fillet very well, but it is just not thick enough for an all rounder, every day user.
