D) Filet with fork and steel

Reason being for me is that in using the filet knife with the full single hilt, I feel alot more comfortable when slicing a large hunk of meat, vs using the same blade with a standard reduced hilt that comes with the "A" config. Plus, we can add the square top and thumb notches for even better control. In addition, you have the option of using it as a real filet knife as well as cutting your momma's meatloaf.

I like: D) Large filet and matching fork & steel. I just like the look of a knife with a hilt, the reduced hilt does nothing for me. Just my opinion. Stag, white ivory micarta or the new bone linen from the captain.

OK Crew:
We're gonne go all out. A Model #6-9", Large Filet Knife with matching fork and steel and a 3 compartment case. This will...by far...be the most expensive in our starter series. The filet knife comes with a sheath but the felt storage bag is extra. At least we know what we can proceed with.
I would suggest we limit this next portion of the build to the knife. The other 2 pieces will be much easier. If I see that the knife is going in a different direction than will allow for the fork and steel to make a complimentary set I'll advise.
Have fun...Talk it out.
Best, Capt. Chris

Full NS hilt, squared
Thumb Notches
Alum/Black spacers
Blond Micarta
Crow's Beak Handle
Silver name plate

Does that mean we also get crow's beak on the fork and steel?

It took some diggin' but I was able to locate (and photograph)one of my complete sets. Like you folks decided, I decided to go the "do everything" route as well. This set was built about 10 years ago...give or take. Obviously, I supplied the stag. The #6-9", "Large Filet Knife" was ordered first and the rest of the crew came about a couple of months later. Anyway: I hope you get some ideas from this.
Best, Capt. Chris
