Walt,
That's why I "always" start these build with a discussion. The photos help a great deal also. Like Rob, a good many folks may not be aware of the limitless possibilities available on this (and other) builds. You automatically get:
A) #6 grind
B) Stainless
C) Nickel silver reduced hilt
D) Stag handle
E) Matching fork
F) Matching steel
G) 3 compartment storage case

The "build" doesn't even have to happen, "BUT"...(I know...I know)...by exploring other possibiliteis our forum members (and the lurkers) can see ideas that may escape them. Even if they're not included in the actual build...the seeds can be sewn!! More to come.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS:
Here's a set with aluminum & red spacers...

Guido--

I'd give my left arm for your Westinghouse #6 set--what a wonderful group of knives (and EXTREMELY difficult to find).

Closest set I have (but AGM--and yes, we do need to use a Nordic Special as a steak knife in the great "steak" state of Nebraska):

P.S.--I'd put a vote in for Captain's Bone Linen Micarta

Doug!...that's fantastic !
it's the real first time I can look at something similar to my old carving set...
If you can post a real Nebraska steak...I can post a real Florentine steak from here...
Buon appetito !

Guido and Tony--

You will both appreciate this....my ALL-TIME FAVORITE steakhouse in Omaha, NE was Caniglia's Restaurant in the heart of "Little-Italy, Omaha".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Italy,_Omaha

Unfortunately, they succumbed to the fast food "steakhouse" chains and big casino buffets built along the Iowa side of the Missouri River (from what I've been told).

Fortunately, the Caniglia Family (from Carlentini, Sicily) have historically been quite the entrepreneurs and family members own a few other restaurants throughout Omaha.

Captain--sorry to hijack your thread....back to business on the #6 build.
