I vividly remember when I ordered my first #1-6", stag, I got a call asking me if I wanted to get a Soligen immediately, or wait 5 months for a genuine Randall blade. I said that I could wait. That was in 1967. I was then asked if I was sure that I wanted a carbon steel blade as I thought I was going to Vietnam, and that a stainless might be a better choice. Again, I said no, I wanted a "regular" carbon steel blade. That's what I got. A number of years later, I took my No. 1 to Orlando and Pete looked at it and asked me if it would be OK if he added some small rivits to my sheath. I said no problem. Unfortunately, in 1994, I was unemployed and needed to sell a few knives, so I sold my No. 1 to Rhett. I have since asked him about that knife and he said that his records showed that he re-sold it in 1994 and doesn't have any record of who bought it. If anyone on this forum has it, I will make you a deal. Thanks-

Pap
