Ha! I can understand beating yourself up for not going with the ivory, but the handle you chose is very nice too. If you do get to where it bothers you every time you look at though, just know that any time you want your money back out of it, that you don't have to even call first to ask... just box it up and send it to me, I'll take it! 
Just kidding of course, and good job on the checkering too. From the pics I've seen of other things you've done in the past, you are quite talented indeed.
