I hear ya' and get where you're coming from..."but"..I had a #12-9" made at the shop in 1984 with a #18 style hilt Black micarta #14 style handle "&"...Tiny "sawteeth". It was not uncommon for the shop to custom-make a knife for a customer until late 1980's..."&" Pete remembered it. Could it have been a regrind of some type. Of course,,,,just sayin'.

PS: I sold that #12-9" to Glynn Martin (The guy who made the "original" wood-burnt signs. I saw it here, or FB, or Ebay for sale a few years back..."however"...in my defense, at that time...I always thought I'd be able to get another..???
