The knife was made in Springfield, Mass. Originally, these knives had Bo's blessings and were blade-marked with an identification indicating such: Randall Made Springfield, Mass.
The quality, fit and finish were not to be compared to Orlando, Fl. Model #1's..."BUT"...it did get knives in the hands of the W.W.II soldiers! This collector (Me) does not own one as I never considered them a Randall.
After the war was over there a number of "leftover parts-n-pieces were assembled to sell as this example you have shown.
