I find that the M-1 Carbine is a far better patrol rifle especially with the Paratrooper folding stock than today's M-4s you see in today's cruisers.

Our first patrol rifles MANY years ago were WW2 M-1 carbines.

Never had a problem. 15 round magazine in place and two 15 round magazines in the buttstock holder made it pretty darn good.
