Wayne when I was 13 it snowed so much that my stepfather made me get up on the roof and shovel it off, because he was afraid that the roof would cave in, it was a slate roof with about a 10 or 12in walkway around it, he was up there with me, but I didn't like that job very much. The house was 2 story, with a basement and a attic, so we were up pretty high, so that we had snow in the front yard until June. There was a second story roof that was metal, and my room had a window that opened onto that roof, I would go out on the roof and jump off into the snow we had piled up.
