Les Bear will not use buffers on any of their 1911s except for their small "Officer's Size" model. Shok-Buffs are greatly over rated and really do not prevent frame cracking.
Some time back,I noticed an older gentleman wearing a T-shirt that had printed on it
"I don't dial 911,I dial 1911"
Can't go wrong there.
