The spinoff to truck/ car guns…

What makes a good truck/ car gun? You're not as limited as you are with concealed carry, but you want something a bit compact, right? Or not—if you have a pickup, a lever-action on a rack in the rear window works just fine - if you're not looking to conceal.

And you want to add some power, why not?

In my car, for now, it’s just the Beretta 21-A or sometimes the Glock 34 because both fit so well in the cubby under the seat for concealment and easy access.

Had a Suburban for a while and carried a small shotgun under the middle seats a’ la Tony Soprano. I miss that big ole Suburban, but my son has it now.

In my Mercedes sedan, I have to be more inventive.

But I’d probably go for one of these:

Sig Sauer M400 Pistol. Takes standard AR mags. Throw it in a small duffle with a handful of 30 or 40 rd. mags and Bob’s Your Uncle, you're ready for just about anything. (Just 28 in. long – including brace).
Mossberg Shockwave. Love these barely legal shotguns. 5 + 1 capacity, and with the little adapter, they handle the Aguila mini shells just fine for even more - 9 buckshot shells or slugs. (26 ˝ in. long).
Stagecoach shotgun. Limited capacity (and bigger) but you’ve got to love the simplicity. At 37 in. long, it’s about the same length as a typical AR or AK but it’s just cool looking.

Show us your “truck” guns.

Thanks, Gary
