I believe it's getting worse....we hardly ever get the actual temp anymore....it's always a built in indicator, that makes it appear to be hotter, or colder depending on which way they want to go....AND the never ending sensationalism.....get close to a rain storm, and they are now telling us to "shelter in place" it's absolutely crazy what they do....anything to stay on the air, and scare folks
