New to this community and 1st post. What a valuable wealth of knowledge and great collections!
From what I have read, the “SS” stamp preceded single “S” stamps. Also, Johnson Brown Button sheaths preceded Baby Dots.
The 1st pic shows a 3-7, single low “S” with a JBB and the 2nd shows an 8-4, “SS” with a Johnson Baby Dot.
Question: Is this probably a case where the version of the sheath and age of the knife stamp are a slight mismatch or am I off base? It’s not difficult to imagine this happening during periods of transition. The 3-7 is from the Picture Gallery in 2006, by Bo Blade; the 8-4 is one of the first knives in my small collection.
