Our dog before this one was 13 years and 3 months old, when we had to put him to sleep. We got him from an animal shelter, when he was three. One time somebody try to break in our old house. This dog never barked when somebody came in the house. He was in the living room and the mother****** who got in to the house, probably are still traumatized, when they found him in the living room.
They probably saw him, closed the door as fast as they could and left.This dog couldn't open it and tried to chew his way true the living room door. When we came home, the back door was left open by these criminals. They probably didn't had the time to close it, as they were running scared Fortunately our dog was OK and nothing was missing. I would have loved to see there reaction when they spotted the dog.
