Out of the two knives you mentioned, I would choose the Model 18 for camp/utility work, although I am sure the Buxton Fighter would do fine in that role as well. I had Model 5-5 for several years that I utilized as a general all around blade. I ended up passing it on to my daughter, so I replaced it with the slightly heavier Model 15 and I am very happy with it. _________________________ Mick Olson
