Very nice and very expensive in 1985, for sure. Will not even mention military pay of that time, But, a gorgeous knife....lucky man, as anytime I was in Grand Central, the only stuff which people tried to sell me would be impolite to mention. The sheath would have been a miracle, I would think, all by itself. Would not think it too common, even then.
