According to the Wickersham TIMELINE, “Light brown ‘thin sheet’ Micarta laminate was first used on RMK knives around 1960, with the darker brown block Micarta showing up in 1964 through 1966 on the models RMK #14/15/16. Originally screwed in place and covered with ‘filled hole’ Micarta dust and epoxy, by late 1966 only epoxy was being used.”
