I read, from time to time, about " tight stitched" sheaths, but I am unclear about just what that means. As a leather craftsman, I stitch wallets at eight stitches per inch, and knife scabbards at six or seven inches per inch, and saddles at five or six stitches per inch, depending on which part of the saddle I am working on. So, does tight, or otherwise stitching refer to number of stitches per inch,,or does it refer to something else?
