As for serrations, a tapered ceramic rod, or even better, the Spyderco sharpmaker gizmo, touch up scallops and then quick swipe down back side to remove burr, BUT, it never looks like a shop/factory job, and best results/looks always to let shop/factory redo with original grinder/polisher. 10-4 on rope/belts/heavy reinforced hose/kevlar-glass reinforced fabrics/etc.
