We've been getting passing thunderstorms with strong wind gusts that keep knocking down trees and making work for me. Yesterday I was at it again, clearing another road.

It's hard work, but I have to admit that it's pretty satisfying once it's done.

Here are a couple 'after' shots. And two more of my #5 with sweat-soaked gloves on the truck's tailgate.

By the way, I know I post a lot of pics of this particular knife, so you guys let me know if you get tired of seeing it.

I never get tired of seeing a grown man work and especially using his Randall to help make it happen. Great pics.

Well okay then! I'll post a few more.

Today all I did with the Randall was trim a couple elm branches and also some poison ivy growing on a hickory. Personally I like seeing the ivy, but it was sticking out far enough to brush against anyone walking by.

I came across an interesting mushroom today. It was delicate and flower-like. I don't know what it's called.

And just for laughs I'll post my failed attempt to photograph a quick-stepping turkey through my windshield. I seldom see any so when this one stepped out of the brush this morning I was fumbling as fast as I could to get a pic of it.

I sent some emails with pics and I've heard back from three mushroom experts. They all say that this is a Leucocoprinus fragilissimus.

Apparently it doesn't have a common name, but fragilissimus means "most fragile." It's difficult to pick one without it collapsing/crushing.
