O.K. folks: The last (and certainly not the least) of the new Randall knife offerings for 2011 is the knife they are calling: “The Sergeant’s Model”! I cannot rave enough about this knife! I can best compare it thus:

• It’s kinda like a Model #19-5”. (yeah…but not as bulky)
• It’s kinda like a Model #15-5 ½”, “CDT”. (yeah…but not as long)
• It’s kinda like a “Shawl-Leibowitz Special”. (yeah…but who knows what I’m talkin’ about)

The bottom line is: This “Sergeant’s Model” is it’s own man! Plenty of heft and strength. Terrific grind lines and an absolute top-shelf Randall model for an all-around camp knife choice! I can think of no duties it would be called upon to do that it could not perform…and perform well!! For years this model was a guarded design. Now it's available for the masses. Don't get left out! Pull the trigger on one!

Here’s what you get:

• 5” hand-forged blade from ¼” stock
• 4 5/8” handle length
• Top Bevel sharpened
• Thumb notches
• Brass single hilt
• Leather handle
• Duralumin butt cap
• Supplied with a Model “A” sheath
• Weight: 9 ounces
• Price (as shown) $350.00

As with many Randall models, the option choices are unlimited. No…You cannot get sawteeth and a few other choices, but: Stainless / Nickel silver / Metal spacers / Handle material choices as well as handle shapes are pretty-much wide open! More and more…The list goes on! You will not be disappointed with however you decide to make your Sergeant’s Model special for you…”BUT”…(There’s that word again)…it’s a great choice just as it comes in it’s standard configuration. Go ahead: Pull the trigger on one! You won’t be disappointed!
Here’s a couple of quick photos to give you an idea of what it looks like. Thanks to Greg (and Lenny…you know who you are) for another (yes: It’s a different one) seal skin, which I used in some of the shots for a background.
Best, Capt. Chris

Thank you, Captain!

This is the knife I have been waiting for. I can't wait to get one. (With all the available options, it may be better than when Stoddard's had it as a dealer knife!)

To the best of my knowledge (and I "KNOW" some of our beloved fraternity of RKS "junkies" will correct me if I am wrong), Stoddard's was never granted a "stainless" forging. That alone makes this knife "all the better" in my mind's eye! I think it's gonna "rock" as far as sales are concerned. What's not to like?
Best, Capt. Chris

Larry,
It's the same as other 1/4" stock knives with a blade length of 7" or less. 1 1/8" X 1 1/4" X 4 3/4". If you want special handle shaping, other than right or left hand finger grips, i.e. "Border Patrol", "Single Finger Grip", "Commando" or "Concaved" you will have to move up to the 8" bladed sizes: 1 1/4" X 1 3/8" X 5". When speaking to Valerie this week she "assured" me that on all orders the shop will be much less tolerant of improper "CW" material, when it comes to sizing. In other words: Send in the right stuff...or don't send it in. It'll just be a heartache for ya'. Hope this helps.
Best, Capt. Chris

Capt, would an order thru you versus The Shop itself take delivery any time sooner? Thank you.
