It is also available as a "scalloped flanged" butt cap. The cost is $40 for the smooth and $60 for the scalloped. Hope this helps. Best, Capt. tglassco Knife Enthusiast Registered: 05/22/07 Posts: 1970 Loc: Gator Country	Griff, The Smooth Flanged Butt Cap is most commonly seen on the Tom Clinton Special but it is in Duralumin and almost all of the brass versions I have seen are scalloped. Another great example of the craftsmanship from the shop This Model 2, 7 inch has a stainless steel blade, nickel silver hilt and butt, shop ironwood, and my name etched on the back. I ordered this knife to match a Model 1, 7 inch that I had ordered from the shop in 2001 and received in 2004.
