Tom,

I've seen your 12-8's and yours are great knives. This model is truly classic and I've always been very fond of the blade shape. Like yours, mine is very much a keeper. Thanks again.

Best,
Warren

Here is my Model 12 I bought from the Captain. Beautiful stag, I was suprised he let it go. For such a large blade it has great balance.

"Let it go"?
Mike: I wasn't mine to "hang on to"! If it was: You would have had a hard time prying it away from me.
Contrary to popular belief, I really do not "boogie" my customers out of their orders...Nice #12-9", Mike.
Best, Capt. Chris

Mike,

That's quite a knife there and a massive stag handle, you are fortunate to have that one.

That's for people with BIG hands.

One of my favorite purchases from this year's Blade Show is this 12-8 Bear Bowie. This was just one of those lucky finds at the right time. The handle is Ivory Fossil, N/S hilt, aluminum butt cap both engraved by Skaggs. The roughback sheath dates this knife somewhere in the 80's. This one will be with me for a very long time.

Best,
Warren

Warren,
Not to pee in your Cheerios, but I think that "Bear" is late 70's...perhaps. Tight-stitched and grey stone??
