Tony, it is the one you made for Buck Woodard. It is around 4.3 inches closed.

I got a bunch of photocopies of a similar case whittler with it. I am not sure if Mr. Woodard requested a similar knife, or what. It is numbered 1.

Buck wanted me to blow up an 83 whittler to 4 1/4 so that's what I did. I cut the stag out of the middle of a big set and it worked out very nice. That's the only one of those I can remember making.

That is a very cool pattern. How does the frame compare to the NorthField Whittler?

It's not as wide at the big end. That stag was killer on that knife.

Ya, Buck said it was the only one you made like it, and wouldnt be making another. I really like it. I have never owned a knife like this. The quality is out of this world. I wish I could take better pictures so you guys could see how goreous the Stag really is.

Tony, It is great to hear about this knife from you. My first knife was made by you, and I used the heck out of it. It had gotten stolen when I was in college. Since then I have been looking for that perfect knife made by you, or Reese. I honestly cant remember if Reese made the one I had before, or you. I had bought it in 98 or 99 from a friend of mine. It was perfect. I got alot of good use out of it, and it brought many memories. I would love to have a similar knife one of these days. It was a single blade lock back, with a gorgeous engraving, and Ivory handles. Maybe you could make me something like that. Do you still take orders? I know the wait would be a long time, but I know it is well worth it.
