Just arrived 10-3 in Black Micarta/ Looks like Nickel-Silver Pins, Lanyard liner.
Scary Sharp. I'm glad it came in a drop point rather than the usual kitchen knife profile of its' bigger brothers.

Quick Question:

A Model 10 with a 4" blade would be a great steak knife...food paring/prep blade size.

The 3" seems a little small...the 5" in a public place would look scary and could get you arrested, and a 7" is out of the question, except for the Chef in the Kitchen.

But a 4" Mdl 10 would be just right to politely take apart a nice steak, roast, whatever, in a public eatery!

Anyone ever try to get one thru the store?

Model #10-4" were available back in the 1980's for a short time. Most had a drop point and were less-than-attractive, due to that blunt, bull-nosed, drop point.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: Consider a "GTR"...CCS

I have 2 very happy children this year--both my 19 year old daughter and 16 year old son received #10-3s for Christmas. My wife and I are blessed with two pretty great kids so giving them "keep forever" gifts was not a hard decision, and they look good with my own #10-3, too. Great job on these knives at the Randall shop!

Thanks Pap & Doc! They've both been well trained with knives and guns--gifts for each on 5th birthdays were Swiss Army knives; each started hunting with me on 8th-daughter with camera and son with gun. She has taken hundreds of great photos 'cause her rule was I "couldn't kill nothing"-although she nows shoots the .357 Sig Glock best and this #10-3 will replace her purse EDC-Benchmade.
I've really started liking it for many-day-carries, too.
You can't start good training too young!
