As it stands right now: A rounded duralumin butt cap get's the nod. I don't care what winds up winning (after we get a little clarity) but I'll tell you "my thoughts". * Being a tad "full-figured" squared, sharp-shouldered butt caps can "pinch" * NS butt caps are good for engraving * NS butt caps (unless it's a 6" Trapper") make the whole package butt-heavy. ...Had this incredible #25 not showed up with that stag...I would have ordered me one "rounded"...just sayin'...& I'm not so sure you can order a "thin" butt cap on a Trapper either...(end of ramble) Stay Sharp, Capt.
