Happy Birthday Pappy, everyone has been found safe after the flash floods 100 homes damaged or completely gone, many roads washed out. They have their work cut out for a while.

Happy Birthday Pappy!

We got a break from the weather today, only 95F. Had to reach for a sweater.

Earlier today there was rain south and east of us, which is where the breeze is coming from. Basically a multi-square-mile swamp cooler kicked in on our behalf. I'll take it.

Same here Rob. But we had a little shower to go with it.

My youngest daughter and her family came in from Anna and it was cool enough for the kids to go outside.

Hotest day for us today at 103 in the sun, but went down to 75 as soon as the sun went down. Plus low humidity. So far, a pretty normal summer for us here in Idaho.

Pappy,
Happy Birthday. If you were back in your old home town,I would take you to Orems to celebrate (It has since moved about 1/2 mile south)

Thanks Wayne! Is the food at Orem's still pretty good? During the summers,we generally ate at Bob's roadside grill for hamburgers, hot dogs and shakes. They were the best.
Have a great weekend.

Pappy,
Orems is still very good. Where it used to be as well as Young's Nursery is now........condos!!!

Used to be three traffic lights in town, now about 20.

Tail end of '68 we closed out about 1,000 investigations. When I retired in Feb '08,we were already up to 15,000.

Bob's Charcoal Grill is long since gone.
