Talking to a lady in Canada a couple of days ago.

I asked what part, she said just outside Toronto.

I said I guess you are pretty cool right now.

She replied something like miserably cold.

Then I was cruel...told her I am in Florida. 82 degrees, bright blue skies.

She was jealous, so I told her that many or maybe most Canadian are down here for the winter. And when our temperatures get into the 50's and 60's they are the ones out on the beach in their swimsuits!

She laughed, had a good sense of humor, and said she guesses Canadians have thicker skin.

Having said all this, I do enjoy experiencing real changes of seasons.

We live on the north shore of Lake Ontario, 2 1/2 hrs east of Toronto. Until two days ago we had no snow and above freezing temps. BUT we are paying for it now. Snowing and colder. -4C and 10 cms of snow forecast. Sorry those are metric measurements!

I just shoveled 6+ inches of AGGW (al gore global warming) this morning.

You don't remove this stuff, just relocate from one place to another.

I have a feeling that this winter will linger on into June....again.

I stand corrected,it is not AGGW but it is really AGBS.

Cold right now but a warm up of sorts by end of week with, yup, you guessed it more AGBS. Looks like a 2-3 day event.....again.

Was in Charleston all day up from Hilton Head on an overnight trip to visit with friends and family. Was wet most of the afternoon but not downpours. Our friends in Mooresville, NC had snow today. Go figure, was worse in the south than back in central NY?

We have experienced a fairly mild winter so far. Started out seriously bad but then got above average.

It will probably be one of those winters that go on with "iffy" weather until July.
