Back after heat treat and all the necessary materials collected. Guard material drilled and filed to be mated to the blade by soldering.

Guard silver soldered to the blade. Went well, no pinholes. Solder joint still needs to be cleaned up.

Cleaned up the solder joint. Looking good, still no pinholes, a perfect joint. Not too easy, soldering stainless on stainless.

The grind lines on a Nr. 2 are special, in the sense that in fact you have a hexagonal cross section of the blade where it meets the guard. Resulting in a hexagonal solder joint.

Some progress made.

All handle material roughly fitted and the guard and pommel roughly contoured.
