Rob,
If I am close enough to smell them, then it is waaaay too close!!!

Gosh Coach!!!!!!

Seems like you have a lot of interesting critters in your neck of the woods.

Sure you don't want to borrow my Mossberg 12 ga Shock-Wave for a bit???

Wayne,

I sure do have some interesting critters. Some, we hear at night and don't know what they are.

But rest assured that I am armed for anything that might be around here. 4 legged or 2 legged.

Coach,
I kind of figured that for sure.

A lot of coyote activity here,a number of posters on the phone poles about missing Fidos and Fluffies.

Sure sign of activity.

A nice lightweight snubby in pocket at all times is a comfort.

Wayne:

The other night, the coyotes were yipping out behind the barn and Ricky was late coming in for Supper.

I called for him and he came trotting towards the porch with a possum in his mouth and 3 coyotes following him. He put the possum down when I poured his dog food but the coyotes stayed out in the shadows.

I tied him up for the night and came back in about 15 min to check on him. The possum was gone.

Ricky and the coyotes kinda know each other and I have some video of them playing chase together out in the yard.

Ol' Rusty would not play with them. He killed them. He probably weighed 130-140 lbs and was a lot more aggressive.

Coach,
That sounds interesting. I think the 'yote prefer smaller prey. Typical of any predator, they choose the easy target.

I don't know which is worse, the two legged or four legged predator.

The four legged ones I pretty much can judge, the two legged ones are far more unpredictable.

Rocky,
380?? Looks super nice. Judging from the box mid 60s?? Probably earlier as that model could not be imported after the GCA of '68 went into effect.

Sorry about drifting off thread but when you get to be OLD like me,you never can tell where we wind up!!!!

Wayne....I'm not the thread police...I just like seeing, and chatting about hand guns....shoot....any gun for that matter....It's an oldie for sure, came from my dad...I expect early 60's...I've not done much research on it, just thought it would get the track back....something to look at...that's all
Oh....9mm kurz....aka .380

Rocky--

Maybe tell us the story about how it was lifted off 007?

I recall that Fleming said that the PPK was a "powerful" handgun.

And wonder if he sipped his tea with his pinkie lifted.

Nice collectible package.

Rocky,
I was wondering if the markings on the slide were 380 acp or 9mm Kurz.

Larry,
If I am not mistaken,I think 007's PPK was in 32 acp which certainly was very powerful.......................NOT!
