Masks "will" be required and be worn throughout the "entire" event...no exceptions. I spoke with one of the promotors staff about this and those instructions were also included in my dealer packet. I will have extra masks and hand sanitizers (as I have had for all shows I have attended since Covid hit) available at my tables.
Speaking of tables: Mine are located in a great spot, upstairs on row #14 / Section "B" / Table numbers 3,4,10 & 11! It has taken me decades to obtain this location (Been attending this show since the Bi-Centennial/1976) and I hope to bee ya'll there!
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris
PS: Besides RMKs, I will also be bringing knife books, optics and some killer rifles, including a Blazer RK-5 "Traveler" in 30-06 and 300 Win. short mag!

Pappy, I met Buck at the Great State Fair of Texas about ten years ago. He was displaying his art in the Tower Building.
I did not know he was Newly from Gunsmoke but I saw a sketch he did of his dad (not knowing it was his dad). I told my bud I was with, "That's Dub Taylor". Buck said, "That's my dad".
We had about a thirty-minute conversation about Dub, James Arness, and his art. I had no idea he had been in so many of my favorite movies. He's quite a guy.
By the way, 2020 was the first year I missed attending the Great State Fair of Texas in 27 years.

Way back in 1972, I was in the only open bar in Island Park, Idaho, Pond's Lodge in late November. There were maybe 6 of us locals in the bar that night. About 9:30 on a Friday night, in walks 3 cowboys and belly up to the bar. It didn't take long to find out the main character was Buck Taylor, Newly from Gunsmoke. It was widely known that Buck was involved in a ranch and big subdivision near Ennis, Montana just over the divide from us. Come to find out that his plane was diverted to Idaho Falls, and they had to rent a vehicle and drive from Idaho Falls to Ennis. They had to drive hours through basically nothing, and saw the lights on at Pond's Lodge. They were hungry and thirsty. We rustled up some sandwiches for them, and tried to get them to spend the night at the lodge. In the mean time, I had a long conversation with Buck regarding old trappers in Idaho and Montana, and ran home and got around 10 books on that subject, and gave them all to him.

Then, many years later while working in Arizona, Buck was part of a big western show in Cave Creek. I introduced myself and told him we had met 35 years ago. He obviously didn't remember me, but when I mentioned the Pond's Lodge incident and the books, he immediately remembered that night. That's the story. We saw him again the next year and just said hello again. Very nice guy, and a heck of an artist.

Pap

I don’t know either of them. I do know the person on the right is wearing some sort of
mask, impersonating the Capt. The reason I know this is because of the quote below from the Cap! If he was the “real” Capt he would have a mask like the person on the left.

[quote=Captain Chris Stanaback]Masks "will" be required and be worn throughout the "entire" event...no exceptions. I spoke with one of the promotors staff about this and those instructions were also included in my dealer packet.
