This one arrived with an S-Guard Bone knife I took in on consignment, with the 1-6 on it I'm assuming it was a knife / sheath match error along the way. Keeper snap has pulled away, stone obviously used. I'll probably sell the knife and sheath separately, they don't belong together.
I recall that Johnson did make sheaths for Bone...but when I was buying from Bone I did not make any particular note about the sheaths that came with his knives.
Could it be that you have a correct match?

The JRB "appears" to be made for a Model #4 or something similar. What is puzzling if the "1"-6 on the back of the sheath? I think it's earlier than 80's, ranging over the 70's decade, probably early-mid, judging by the wide throat. If Maurice Johnson had "specifically" made the sheath for Ralph Bone, an impression of a dog's "BONE" was normally stamped into the sheath...just sayin', Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris
