another case of a seller claiming war time production to enhance desirability. Nice 50's knife, but not Korean War. Plus, it wasn't Bo's design.

I blew the photo up and didn't' see a 3. I do know this, it was a helluva buy at $503, half of what it should be worth if the keeper strap was intact.

Damn, I am off my game lately.

On that note, I haven't the foggiest.

Anything would be a guess.

The only guess I might have is a quantity number of an order. Say, 15 Model 11-5 sheaths and that was the third example in the order. Anyone else?

I have seen that on other sheaths over the years, and I don't recall anyone coming up with a viable explanation.

I thought I missed something along the way, reckon not. I’ve seen it too and always wondered. To date, we all be on the same craft.
