I am going to list these on e-bay but if you see something you like PM or call me and we will try to deal. 540-598-3004. Another thing I thought that someone said on the forum that e-bay was taking other way of paying besides PP or I may have dreamed that. I don't see any other way listed. The Mod. 26 is a L.L.Bean #50.

The sheath for the 25-5 is incorrect.

That is how I bought it. Did someone order this sheath instead of the pouch? I had never had it in the sheath and I just saw that it will not work. It has been in the safe for years, I guess I will just have to order a new sheath or I have a high ride sheath that I can use. Thanks for the heads up.

At one time you could specify something other than PP[make sure that box is NOT checked]. You could say USPS MO, bank check etc.
Once received you mark item as paid and proceed with shipping.
I have not used it in years BUT it won't hurt to try it.

Sidney,
The knife did not come with this sheath...of that I am "positive"! You may have "bought it that way" but it's not correct...and I'll give you (at least) 3 reasons why
1) Model "C" sheath is not and has never been available for a #25-5", Trapper.
2) Even if the shop were to sell a Model "C" sheath for the Trapper, it would not be 1/4" too wide and 1/2" too long.
3) This sheath was made for a Model #15-5 1/2", #17-5 1/2" or an #18-5 1/2".
4) The reason I am certain about this is the keeper strap was sewn into the sheath to accomodate a "double hilt" knife.
5) The reason I know that is the fact that your #25, even if it did fit, would have to be carried "left-handed"...(Stick it in the sheath and snap it)
6) If someone tries to use the argument that it could have been ordered for a "lefty"...please refer to #1 or #2..
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Correct me if I am incorrect(?)

A customer ordering a Model 25-5 can request the Model A sheath instead of the "issued" #F, Cover Sheath ("Pouch"). I believe I had one request back in the last century. ;-)

If so, can they also order a Model 25-5" with a Model B Sheath. I've never had the request.

I know the Model 25-6" comes with the Model A Sheath, I have two or three of them for sale.

Thanks.

Buck,
"B" sheaths are for 3/16" stock blades.

Chris,

Guess I was confusing a Model A sheath ordered as a “No-Hone” Sheath and picturing it as a Model B Sheath.

Thanks for the correction.

So-o-o-o many choices.

And then some mix things up after the fact.

At least he got a sheath when he bought the knife from whoever put the knife and sheath together.

We have posted before about people who keep knives but lose sheaths.

The whoever buys this pair might try to buy a correct knife-without-sheath?
