The show is located on West Colonial Drive (State Road #50) in Orlando, Fl. & is the largest show in Florida! I'll be there, along with TK, Bill Schulz, Mike Mason and The Ram King...+ whatever happens to stop by. You'll have your pick from about 3-4 dozen RMKs, to include some "Oldies"!
8 of my top-end bolt-actions and some European optics as well will be on display, should you be gettin' "Buck Fever"! Hope to see you there!
Hours: Saturday: 9-5
Sunday: 10-5
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

Sorry I missed you Capt and TK.
James filled me in
I'm boycotting that show and can't contribute to those that usurp our second amendment rights for their gain
Just not fun without the private sellers
I'm stayin home with Meg and reading Blade
Thank you Lori and Wally
Anyone wants to read about "the Knife Man" let me know and I'm happy to pass it forward

@Sharpi, Amen!, Three of us loaded up and went down there the show before this one. We were expecting to buy and trade some guns private treaty and were shocked at the "county ordinance" signage and rules. Even more shocking was the submission by everyone to it. How can that legally stand, county owned property maybe? One of our group was an average hunter who has never obtained a CCP, so he had a completely wasted trip, as we all did. In any event, I hate to miss the Captains layout and a hands on opportunity, but the three of us will never go back to the Orlando show or any of the others put on by that promoter. I understand his otjer 3 or 4 shows are set up lime that as well. All the sacrifice, the blood and bounty spent by our military to protect our liberty and freedom, reduced to that display of socialism/communism. Sorry to get on a tirade, but it made me mad and sick, with the loss of a day. The three of us won't soon forget it. God bless America!

Get ready boys, that is what is coming down the pipe for everyone. You want to sell a firearm to a relative, a friend, your wife, you will be required to run a background check as though you are an FFL. Fill out a 4473, It is a form of backdoor quasi registration. Problem is, nobody is gonna do it.

Kind of hard to believe they can try and control the commerce of chattel like that.

None of this shit would have stopped the shooters.

Oh, you experienced it first hand, the gun show "loophole" is a lie in most places.

A bittersweet show, that much is certain. Upon arrival I was informed that the promoter had put into place new "rules" (no laws or ordinances) concerning "all" firearms. I was told my bolt-action hunting rifles (which were the only firearms I brought with me) could not be sold, traded or even "displayed"!
Many of you know me. How well do you think I take being "told" what to do? The problem was that I, not only posted on this forum but also made "several" appointments, I was forced to stay and set up the show. I had good...very good...customers coming from a good distance away.
I informed the check-in personnel that this would be my last show. (I have done this show since 1978..."2" promoters ago!! My customers showed up and purchased "in spades" and I had a record Saturday and a decent Sunday for knife sales. In total, 20 RMKs sold...and "17" of them went to good, previous customers! Only "3" were sold (+ 2 orders) to the general public. While it is always great to establish new customers, I will stand by my commitment...and never set up there (Or any other shows put on by this promoter) again!
I told him as well that I won't return. I told all of my customers the same thing. Sad...indeed! I don't blame any of you for not attending. Thanks to James, Mike, TK, Bill, That Crazy Cajun, Nelson and Byron for making the weekend enjoyable. I'll be seeing you guys at "another: Florida venue down the road!
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

This what Cap experienced was an act of nothing but pure and simple GREED. The promoter is the largest dealer in the show. He can (and is) controlling who his competition is.

Dealers that are not an FFL, (who paid for a table, or tables) were refrained from exhibiting their wares, while the general public is allowed to walk the aisles with guns slung over their shoulders "For Sale". Granted, they are supposed to take the guns to an FFL to complete the transaction, but still...
How screwed up is that ??

The only control in this case revolves around the almighty dollar mad

I think know who the "promoter" is. If it is who I think, he is not the largest dealer in the show, he is the largest retail dealer in the country. While he may be 'policing' to stifle competition, he is also reading the handwriting on the wall and being proactive.

I gotta think with the current climate, the background thing is gonna pass. Like I said, no one is gonna do it.

In the state of Florida, an individual, at least at a show, is supposed to see a valid id when purchasing from an individual. Not sure what that is supposed to accomplish.
