Been sitting on the porch watching this T Storm coming and it's here at last. Fourth of July can't compare to the thunder through these nearby rolling hills. Finally getting a cooldown after two days of 90+ heat and humidity. It's been brutal here. This is going to be a big one!

A big cool down in my area, big change since last week. Now they are predicting that maybe some snow will be in by this Saturday.

First snow squall yesterday of the season. Came down hard and fast at times. Nothing on the ground but a teaser.

Goldielocks day in East Texas.

Even SW Idaho is having a blue ribbon fall. Upper 60's day temps and frosty at night. It rained for 3 days at the beginning of the month, and gorgeous ever since.

Snowed almost all day today. Fortunately temperatures were above freezing or we'd have several inches on the ground. A few roads got a bit slushy this afternoon but it's over for now. Just another reminder winter and 5 months of it are coming soon.

Sunny and chilly here, highs in the 40's. No snow at my house but a foot in the high mountains.

Thursday night, I drove through flurries in KS/OK at the border where US75 crosses.

Friday night and Saturday morning were colder than a witches brassiere, with a sharp breeze to drive the point home. Fortunately no moisture in the air.

Capt Stanaback's table at the Tulsa show was about 150ft from one of the doors that was open for exhibitors to bring in gear. The breeze coming in through that door was quite chilling all day Friday.

Woke up Saturday morning in (rural) Caney KS with frost on the car and the thermometer at the 16F mark.

Saturday warmed up a bit, Sunday was cool and moist but not bone biting.

I got home on Sunday night, chowed down on homemade beef stew (did I mention my wife can cook?), and crashed hard. Woke up to "cold and wet" here in North Texas, temps in the 40s all day.

My mother sends me a note this morning that it is snowing in SE Kansas, 2" and still falling.
